Alumni News - Melanie Kawa

2003 College Captain and ߣߣÊÓƵ graduate, Melanie Kawa followed her dream and now plays rugby union for two of the biggest sporting nations.

In 2003, as part of her Yearbook contribution, Year 12 student and then College Captain, Melanie Kawa noted one of her 'Likes' as "Sport" and one of her 'Fave Moments' as "Representing ߣߣÊÓƵ". Fast forward 11 years to 2014 and Melanie was representing her native PNG in Rugby Union. Today she represents both Australia and PNG, Co-captaining Australia's Melbourne Rebels SuperW rugby team.

Head of Middle/Senior School, Mr Cummings says of Melanie, "I remember her big genuine smile."

Melanie's determination and fighting spirit have helped her live out her dream. She is a true inspiration. All at ߣߣÊÓƵ are extremely proud to have had such an admirable young lady representing our school all those years ago. We wish her every blessing for your future.
